How Far Our Roofers Travel From Boca Raton
The coverage ring is set by drive time, not by county lines. These are typical times from central Boca Raton; traffic on I-95 and the main east-west roads can stretch them.
| City | County | Typical drive |
|---|---|---|
| Deerfield Beach | Broward | 10 to 15 minutes |
| Delray Beach | Palm Beach | 15 to 20 minutes |
| Parkland | Broward | 20 to 25 minutes |
| Coconut Creek | Broward | 20 to 25 minutes |
| Boynton Beach | Palm Beach | 25 to 30 minutes |
Each city has its own roof story. Delray Beach has older clay barrel tile and historic districts. Deerfield Beach has many flat and low-slope roofs on homes from 1950 to 1980. Parkland has 1990s and 2000s tile roofs reaching underlayment age, Coconut Creek is shaped by association rules, and Boynton Beach has many roofs on their second or third cycle.
If your home sits just outside these cities, call and ask. We will tell you plainly whether a roofer can reach it.
Permits in Palm Beach County Cities vs the Broward HVHZ
The county line south of Boca Raton changes how a roof is permitted and built, so this page covers both counties instead of giving each one its own page.
Palm Beach County: Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach
These cities are outside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Roofing products need Florida Product Approval, the work follows the Florida Building Code wind-design requirements, and each city's building department issues the permit and carries out its inspections.
Broward County: Deerfield Beach, Parkland and Coconut Creek
All of Broward sits inside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ). Products need a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance or an HVHZ-approved Florida Product Approval, HVHZ installation rules apply, and inspections are stricter, with in-progress stops such as the tin-cap and underlayment inspection and a tile inspection before the final.
On both sides of the line, the roofer who does the job pulls the permit and books the inspections. HOA or condo approval is a separate step, and in most communities it comes first. Our roof replacement page walks through the full process.
City-by-City Roofing Guide
A quick reference for the six cities we cover. The permit office applies inside city limits; unincorporated areas with the same mailing address are permitted by the county.
| City | ZIP codes | Wind zone | Permits inside city limits | What we're called about most |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Boca Raton | 33428, 33431 to 33434, 33486, 33487, 33496, 33498 (several are West Boca) | Outside HVHZ | City of Boca Raton | Tile roof repair, underlayment, reroofs |
| Delray Beach | 33444, 33445, 33483, 33484 | Outside HVHZ | City Building Division (eServices); historic districts add a Certificate of Appropriateness | Clay tile matching, flat sections, metal near A1A |
| Boynton Beach | 33426, 33435, 33436, 33437 | Outside HVHZ | City Building Division (SagesGov) | Roof replacement, 55+ community roofs |
| Deerfield Beach | 33441, 33442 | HVHZ | City Building Services (GeoCivix) | Flat roof repair, condo membranes |
| Parkland | 33067, 33076 | HVHZ | City Building Department at City Hall | Lift and relay on 1990s and 2000s tile |
| Coconut Creek | 33063, 33066, 33073 | HVHZ | City Building Department (ePermits) | Tile replacement, townhouse and condo roofs |
The roofer we send files the permit with the right office and books the inspections, so you don't need to sort this out yourself. It does explain why two quotes for similar roofs on either side of the county line can read differently.
West Boca Is Covered as Boca Raton
Boca Del Mar, Sandalfoot Cove and Boca West are unincorporated parts of Palm Beach County, but residents use Boca Raton addresses and search the same way. We cover them through our Boca Raton pages rather than separate city pages, and the same tile, flat and metal roof services apply there.
One practical difference: permits for unincorporated addresses usually go through Palm Beach County's building division rather than the City of Boca Raton. Your roofer confirms which office handles your address before filing.
The same thing happens north of Boca. Much of west Delray (the 33446 zip code) and many western communities with Boynton Beach addresses, such as Valencia Lakes and The Cascades, are also unincorporated and permitted by Palm Beach County.
Roofing in Boca Raton Itself
Boca Raton is the center of the ring and is served by our main pages. Start with tile roof repair in Boca Raton for cracked tile, ridge mortar and matching, or go straight to tile roof underlayment replacement, tile roof replacement, flat roof repair or metal roof repair.
Service area questions
Which cities does Boca Tile Roof Repair serve?
Boca Raton, including unincorporated West Boca such as Boca Del Mar, Sandalfoot Cove and Boca West, plus Delray Beach, Deerfield Beach, Parkland, Boynton Beach and Coconut Creek. Those are the cities a roofer based in Boca Raton reaches in about 30 minutes. If you are just outside them, call and we will tell you honestly whether a roofer can reach you.
Is my city inside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone?
If you are in Broward County, yes. Deerfield Beach, Parkland and Coconut Creek are inside the HVHZ, so roofing products need a Miami-Dade NOA or HVHZ-approved Florida Product Approval and inspections are stricter. Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach are in Palm Beach County, outside the HVHZ, where Florida Product Approval and the standard Florida Building Code wind rules apply.
My mailing address says Boca Raton, but I'm outside city limits. Who issues my roof permit?
Usually Palm Beach County. Unincorporated areas such as Boca Del Mar, Sandalfoot Cove and Boca West, much of west Delray and many western Boynton communities have city mailing addresses but are permitted by the county's building division. The roofer checks the property record and files with the right office.
Do you serve cities beyond these six?
We keep the area tight so a roofer can reach you in a reasonable time. Highland Beach and Hillsboro Beach condo buildings are handled through the nearby city pages, and other cities such as Coral Springs may be possible depending on the job. Call us with your address and we will tell you plainly whether we can help.
